ムササビが住める場所は、だんだん少なくなっています。そんな動物が、わたしの住む軽井沢では身近にくらしています。
林で見たときは、木の上へすばやく登っては、何度も飛び移っていました。
There are fewer and fewer places where musasabi can live. But here in Karuizawa, where I live, they live close by.
When I saw them in the woods, they quickly climbed up the trees and glided from tree to tree again and again.
そこがムササビの大きな魅力です。That is what I love most about them.
M-Boxってなに？What is an M-Box?
M-Boxは、杉の木で作ったムササビのための巣箱です。雨宿りをしたり、寝床として使ったりできる、ムササビの安心できるおうちになってほしいと思っています。
An M-Box is a nest box for musasabi, made from Japanese cedar. I hope it becomes a safe home where they can shelter from the rain and sleep.
